Tutorials: PubMed Permalinks

How to use specific library resources such as databases, information literacy modules, eBooks, and archival materials.

PubMed Permalinks

PubMed is an abstract database. Using the permalink option included in PubMed will not allow the user to access Logan's full text subscriptions. Our recommendation is to go to the full text resource and construct a permalink from there. This could be done through a specific publisher (Elsevier/OVID) or through a database (EBSCOhost).

On a publisher's site, you will need to place the librar's proxy prefix in front of the url.

Proxy prefix: https://logan.idm.oclc.org/login?url=

Example article: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S016147542200032X?via%3Dihub

Full link to allow for off-campus access:

https://logan.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S016147542200032X?via%3Dihub

Please contact the library anytime for help with your specific article(s).
